Supporting Local Businesses: LandMark Systems

Tallahassee is a small town that does big business.

Even though it's the state capital, Tallahassee is one of those places where you're constantly running into someone you know.  It's not uncommon for clients to become friends and friends to become clients.

Despite this "small world" mentality, I've never actually met Mike Berzinis of LandMark Systems, my newest client.

I was virtually introduced to Mike by a good friend and fellow designer Tracie Kelly.  While Tracie and I were collaborating on another project, she mentioned Mike was in the market for a logo for a new software deployment.  Knowing my affection for brand development, she thought I might be a good fit for Mike and LandMark Systems.

Through email exchange alone, Mike and I came up with the design you see here.  LandMark Systems offers technical forest and natural resource management services.  As such, It was important that the design include both natural and technological elements.

I enjoyed working with the LandMark Systems team and thought it was so cool (and a sign of the times) that we completed the entire project virtually.

"I wanted a sharp new logo for my company's software, and Emily patiently worked with me through several iterations to get me something I was very happy with."
